Hofbräuhaus – Munich

The Munich Hofbräuhaus claims to be the world’s most famous tavern.  I tend to agree with them!  I have to say it is definitely the most fun tavern experience I’ve had and so quintessentially German!  Full of live music played with traditional instruments and people singing drinking songs in German you can drink larger Hofbräu beer made in accordance with the Baviarian purity Law of 1516!  You can pair your jug oh beer with some authentic Boavarian cuisine such as a Brezn (soft pretzel), Obatzda (cheese dip), and sausages such as Bratwurst and Weisswurst.  If the beer is good enough to inspire Motzart to write an opera, it is certainly good enough to inspire me to try to sing in German!  My favorite of the beers is the Hofbräu Original, which is a German Helles style beer.  If you are ever in Munich this is a dining experience not to miss!  PROST!
