Chateau Lynch Bages is the name of the winery and the wine of this Bordeaux from the Pauillac appellation. A cool bit of history is that this winery made the first bottle of wine that went up to space. This particular bottle, however is a gift from a dear friend and is being paired with steak and is going straight into my belly! This is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cab Franc, and Petite Verdot. I’ve decanted it for about 4 hours and it needed it! Tons of cassis and earth on the nose. It has a finish that last for days and I love a long finish!
