While enjoying some California sun my BFF brought out this bottle of Rosé. What was this bottle? Where did this Rosé come from? Upon inspection it was a Greek Rosé made of a local grape variety Limniona. I’ve never had a Greek Rosé and I’d never heard of this grape! Two exciting firsts!!! What did I think? Check it out in my tasting notes below!

📝 my oh my! What a surprise!!! Limniona is a recently rediscovered grape in Greece and my is it making a come back! Typically used in red wine, this Rosé was a nice surprise in every way!!! It was complex, full of beautiful fruit, a wonderful mouthfeel, tasted to me of strawberries and raspberries, and had a perfect finish. For $15 – $20 this Rosé is a steal! I will definitely be picking up several bottles and adding this to my summer Rosé list!
