Hello All! Welcome to my new feature: Mourning Monday Wine. I loathe Monday’s. I’m back to work with the weekend so far away. 😫 What better way to make a Monday better than to share some notes on a good wine?
As promised from my last post, here is the wine I tasted and purchased from Hospices de Beaune. This one is named for Dr. Jean-Louis Peste who’s daughter donated fields to the hospital in memory of her father.
Tasting Notes:
🍇 100% Pinot Noir
😵 13% APV
📆 I couldn’t find any info on how long it was aged for, but it was aged in French oak.
📍Corton, Beaune, Burgundy
🏅 85 pts Jeannie Cho Lee
91 pts Wine Spectator
👀 lovely ruby red
👃 dark and red fruits
🍷 medium to full bodied with lots of solid tannin and nice acidity
⏳it drank beautiful now, but you can keep it until 2023
💰~$110-149
