I first discovered Gracianna with my friend Ben in 2014. We had just left Twomey and we saw what looked like a cute and approachable tasting room! Approachable and friendly was an understatement! Trini and Lisa Amador who own and run Gracianna are possibly the nicest people in the world. For the last five years I’ve had my best friend’s 40th birthday with them, brought multiple people and groups to the winery to the taste their wines and enjoy the atmosphere and it always ends up being a highlight of a wine tasting weekend! As with Palmeri wines which I reviewed previously, you feel like you’re a well-known friend and everyone is so lovely and welcoming. Bringing people to Gracianna makes you look like you’re an “insider” as the small family-run boutique winery is what wine country used to be all about.
The tasting room is open, welcoming and beautiful. Outdoors sitting among the vines tasting wines or drinking a bottle you just purchased, you never want to leave and could easily spend a day. I love to bring a picnic and just relax.
Gracianna produces Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and Rosé. My favorite is their Bacigalupi Pinot Noir, which is from the grapes of the Bacigalupi family who have a tasting room just down the street and will be reviewed in a later post.
If you fall in love with this winery and the wines as much as I have, you can join their wine club and become what they call a Medallion member, with this you get to personalize a stone medallion and hang it on your very own vine! Visiting your medallion and your vine never gets old! My friend Sarah and I joined together and have our shared medallion on our vine it reads, “Sarah and Lisa Best Good Friends”.
Through the years Gracianna has become a good friend to myself and Sarah and I truly hope you stop by and support this family fun winery.
