Roche is located right across from Three Sticks and right next to one of my favorite places to eat, The Girl and the Fig. Given its location and the fact that it has an outdoor patio, it isn’t a surprise that I was going to try this family run winery and location on a warm and sunny day that I had Lord Indy in tow. The ambiance is actually quite nice, as there aren’t many accessible places for dogs to drink wine and sit in the sun. Unfortunately, that’s a bit where my praise ends. The staff were short, didn’t really know anything about the wine (or seem to want to answer my questions), and my group and I did not find between the 4 of us a single wine we liked. Not one. If you don’t really care about good wine or your not a wine person and just want a nice place to sit with the dog, stop by. If not, I would completely avoid it.
